Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 12, 2026

This policy explains how Brigante Psychotherapy handles information collected through brigantepsychotherapy.com. It applies to the website, not to clinical records. Clinical records are governed by the separate Notice of Privacy Practices.

Information collected

You may choose to provide your name, contact information, and a brief message when you contact the practice. The website host may also record basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, date and time of access, and pages requested, for security and operation of the site.

This website does not sell personal information and does not intentionally use advertising trackers. WordPress and the hosting provider may use cookies that are necessary for site administration, security, or basic operation.

How information is used and shared

Information is used only to respond to inquiries, arrange consultations, operate and secure the website, and comply with legal obligations. It may be shared with service providers that support the website or practice, or when disclosure is required by law. Personal information is not sold or rented.

Email and the contact form

The website form prepares a message in your email application; it does not save the message in the website database. Ordinary email is not guaranteed to be secure. Do not include diagnoses, treatment details, Social Security numbers, insurance information, or other sensitive clinical information. Contacting the practice does not create a psychologist-patient relationship.

Retention and security

Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was received, legal obligations, or practice administration. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no website or email system can guarantee absolute security.
